Business Analyst - Agile

Job Title - Business Analyst - Agile/SQLRate: £350 - £475pdStatus: InsideLocation: London (Westgate)Core Responsibilities:

Lead requirements gathering and definition on projects and change initiatives to improve our operational and commercial capabilities
Write well thought out, clear, and detailed user stories (where relevant) and communicate these effectively to different stakeholders Brief developers, architects and other departments on your requirements
Work closely with the development teams and project managers to create realistic plans to deliver against
Support backlog management and planning meetings
Carry out user acceptance testing (UAT) on developed user stories
Support and contribution into the creation of business case, including expected resource requirements, success criteria and gating routes
Champion, explain and demonstrate the business analysis process to stakeholders
Contribute to the creation and evolution of business analysis processes and procedures within the team and wider business

Scope & Design Requirements gathering

Review, Assess, Test Review & scoping of options, in response to client/business problems Assess & review available technology to enable solutions
Presentations & pitches around options and solutions Analysis of impact to Service Delivery function
Clarity on what done is and how we measure success
Test & Develop Lead user acceptance testing to ensure business requirements are met
Implement Input to project plans & docs Consultancy & Advice when transitioning to Service Delivery function
Responsibility for definitions & documented new or changed processes for implementation to Service Delivery function (incl. ISO)

Measures of success in this role:

Requirements defined and signed off that satisfy both business users and developers
Detailed user stories written right first time to deliver against higher level business needs Measurable improvements to our services being delivered
Testing delivered effectively so that all issues are resolved before going live
Excellent working relationships across the Technology and Operations functions
High degree of stakeholder engagement and feedback
Business Analysis tasks completed to time in project plan

Essential Specialist skills/Knowledge/Systems Experience:

Experience working in a business who are transforming their products, services and legacy technology platforms
Writing clear and detailed user stories in an agile software development environment
Skills in SQL and using relational databases to test developed user stories
Ability to engage, develop and collaborate with team members and wider business
Curiosity and passion for technology and business improvement
Thorough and robust approach to business analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage people at all levels of the business
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
