Job Description

Business AnalystJob Title: Business AnalystLocation: Central London/hybridSalary: £50-60K basic (dep on exp) + exc bensCompany: E-commerceUrgent new Business Analyst job! Our client has a new vacancy open for an analytical Business Analyst; they are looking for someone who has a good knowledge of working with large data sets and is therefore able to reportand analyse the results of such large datasets.The main duties of the Business Analyst will be:

  • Develop a solid understanding of the bespoke reporting software our client uses to analyse how the databases function together
  • Deliver high quality reports by collecting, compiling and transforming data to gain good insight
  • Complex problem solving
  • Identify areas of the business that may need improving by using dashboard metrics
  • Be able to effectively prioritise requests from colleagues using corporate goals as a guideline
The Business Analyst should have the following attributes:
  • A bachelors degree or higher in management information systems, mathematics, statistics, finance or other quantitative subjects
  • 2-3 years experience in extracting data from very large data sets using SQL
  • Be articulate in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering complex reports using multiple data sets
  • Experience of using SQL, Python, Redshift and/or Presto systems
  • Previous experience of working for an e-commerce or digital marketing company
