Job Description

Busbar Installers / Fitters requiredOur well-established client is looking for Busbar Installers / Fitters requiredto workacross sites in Central London with immediate start. They have multiple sites across the UK and Europe with ongoing work for the right candidate. Our clients provides options to travel with workacross mainland Europe with expenses and accommodation provided.Hours: 07:00-15:30 with a 30 minute breakPay 8 hoursSalary: £19.54 per hourCIS Self-Employed (UTR) PaymentBusbar Installers / Fitters required Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation of Busbar and associated Busbar materials -Installation of Busbar Support systems
  • Ability to understand and read Busbar drawings and comprehension of manufacturer installation manuals.
  • Best practice calculations minimising material waste.
  • Understanding the importance of correct installation alignment, level and fixing to minimise any or all snagging.
  • Understanding the process and requirements for testing the Busbar, including environmental and material complexities to assist the supervisor in the test procedure.
  • Awareness of lock out tag out procedures (LOTO).
  • Record all daily works, including and not limited to, test sheets and cut lists.
  • Guiding Improver Engineers to do their job in a correct and safe manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Busbar Installers / Fitters required ideal candidates will have the following:-
  • CSCS card (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme)
  • IPAF Operator Training Certificate: Mobile Vertical (3a), Mobile Boom (3b), working at heights
  • Understand & Read Busbar Drawings & Installation Manuals
  • Knowledge of the Testing and Commissioning of Busbar and Busbar associated material.
  • Tools & PPEHard Hat with chin strap / Protective Glasses / Gloves Cut5 / Boots (S3Toe and Midsole protection) - Hand ToolsSpanners (13mm, 17mm, 19mm) Engineers Tape Measure, Marker Pens, Socket Set, Allen Keys (4mm,5mm,6mm) Hacksaw, Knife, BatteryHammer Drill (36V or 110V) Battery Impact Driver, Laser Level, Calibrated Torque Wrench (Range 10nm to 200nm), Mallet, Block, Level-Set Boat (600mm, 1200mm) - Certified Restraint Harness with Double Lanyard, Fixed Lanyard, Scaffold Hook
