Building Surveyor Up to £50,000London We are working with a leading consultancy within residential & commercial, due to continued new client wins they have asked Bridge Recruitment to invite applications for the position of Building Surveyor. They are looking for a building surveyor with at least 12 months experience as a Graduate Surveyor or minimum 5 years experience in a similar or assisting surveying role. You will have technical knowledge and competence with the ability to build good relationshipswith clients and colleagues. Whilst you will assist more experienced colleagues on a full range of work, you will be taking more of a lead role and be able to work independently. You will be able to advise clients about project issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainabilityand building regulation matters. This particular job role ranges from the abilities expected of a surveyor who has just completed a Graduate role, up to a competent Surveyor working at the highest level, almost to what is expected from a Chartered Member of the RICS. Key Responsibilities: · Provide assistance to Chartered Building Surveyors/Associates with (or lead on) the day-to-day activities on projects. · Assist in a variety of surveys and inspections or lead on. · Prepare and produce site meeting minutes, specifications for works, tender and contract documents. · Assist Chartered Building Surveyors/Associates in their role when acting as Employers Agent and Contract Administrator. · Analyse site activities; prepare progress reports on time, quality and cost of projects. · Providing any other necessary assistance to enable the successful completion of the teams instructions. · Giving support and guidance to trainee and graduate surveyors within the team. · Delegate and teach appropriate tasks and subjects to trainees and graduates within the team as required. · Driving towards their APC goals through developing their profile and skillset at work, where necessary.
