MMP Consultancy are currently seeking a Building Safety Manager for a permanent position with a social housing organisation based in Central London who cover London in its entirety. About the roleJob Title: Building Safety Manager Salary: Up to £58,000 per annum (Additional benefits)Location: Central London (Remote Working / Site Visits - Office visits open if required)Client: Social Housing Provider (TBC on application)We are seeking an experienced Building Safety Manager, the role will require someone who will take the lead as and when required, will make decisions based on the best practice and the future proofing principles of the team. The role will also require lone working and a fair degree of autonomy so self-discipline is a must.Skills/Experience required:* Extensive Technical Knowledge and the ability to comprehend complex issues with regards to fire safety in buildings at all stages of life cycle.* Ability to work independently whilst always following best practice procedures and exercising good judgement and initiative in problem solving.* Ability to interrogate information from various sources and collate comprehensive reports.* Extensive experience and training in Microsoft Office, Northgate and housing management programmes.* Proven ability to work to tight guidelines and targets.* Proven ability to be able to carry out full type 4 Fire Risk Assessments.* Understanding of B.I.M. protocol, building safety information and how these can be combined in a safety file.* Previous experience within social housing in a similar role.* Proven ability to work on a variety of complex tasks simultaneously.* Proven ability to be able to manage contractors and professional surveyors/ engineers in carrying building investigations.* Proven commitment to own personal professional development.* Extensive knowledge of building and housing services and their combined role in ensuring building safety.* Proven ability to train others (staff and clients) in fire safety and their role in it.* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (written and verbally).* Good understanding of all relevant legislation and guidances.* Active membership and attendance at meetings of a trade organisation.Essential Qualifications:* IFE or IFSM Membership* NEBOSH Fire or equivalent* Building background preferredPlease apply for more information and include any queries.
