Job Description

Annual salary: up to £38,000.00 Buildings InspectorFull Time - Permanent – Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on experienceDo you want to work for one of the UK’s leading housing and care service providers in the UK Are you somebody who is open to new opportunities and works to achieve high standards If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Building Inspector!What we are looking for:The successful candidate will form part of a successful local team supporting the Inspection activities and requirements of our Housing operations, ensuring all inspection procedures are being undertaken efficiently, in compliance with Company operating procedures and delivering best in class customer service, satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.As well as this you will also be required to support the supervisory functions within the branch – E.g. work in progress inspections of the operatives, assisting with branch H&S complianceEssential qualifications & experience:

  • Post Inspection experience in a similar operation
  • Health & Safety knowledge, including COSHH
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in trade discipline
  • Knowledge of Schedule of Rates.
  • Full driving licence
    • Preferred qualifications & experience:
  • SMSTS qualification
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Fire Marshall Certificate.
  • Scaffolding Inspection Certificate
  • Experience of working in social housing and in partnership with a local authority client.
  • Managing, monitoring, recording and reporting of Health & Safety and compliance.
  • Asbestos identification and actions
  • Knowledge and understanding of asbestos identification and actions
