We have manuscripts, maps, newspapers, magazines, prints and drawings, music scores, and patents. We make our collections and programmes available to all. We operate the worlds largest document delivery serviceproviding millions of items a year to customers all over the world. What matters to us is that we preserve the national memory and enable knowledge to be created both now and in the future by anyone, anywhere.Working within the Estates Department, The Building Fabric Manager will act as the library expert for building fabric, construction projects and the maintenance of structures and finishes. Working effectively with contractors and service partners to deliveron agreed outcomes. Also liaising closely with electrical & mechanical services teams and occasionally taking on duty management responsibilities.You will be responsible for all aspects of building maintenance, and specific responsibilities will include the upkeep of structural components, building envelopes, internal and external finishes, fixed furniture, public health installations and externalworks/landscaping.The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage building and grounds maintenance.
