Job Description

The RoleA key member of the Broking leadership for Natural Resources, working with sector broking leaders to coordinate the work carried out by the Broking Pool and train and develop new cross sector Natural Resources brokers.

  • Design efficient process of work submission to Broking Pool including daily deadlines for work requests
  • Monitor flow of work submitted to the Broking Pool and agree marketing strategy and objectives with Lead Broker / Account Executive where required
  • Allocate work to the most suitable Pool resources ensuring each Pool Broker gains experience across a variety of Natural Resources sectors
  • Give direction to Pool Brokers regarding appropriate market contacts and market approach in line with agreed marketing strategy
  • Maintain up to date cross sector market contact list
  • Manage training and development needs of Pool Brokers
  • Attend weekly sector brokering meetings
  • Monitor accurate and timely use of Broking Platform and PPL
  • Work with sector Heads of Broking to drive revenue growth initiatives and monitor success
  • Resource management of Pool Brokers
  • Quality control of work going into the Pool and of output from Pool
  • Training and development of Pool Brokers
  • Joint responsibility for Broking revenue growth initiatives
The Requirements
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively across GB and regional Natural Resources teams
  • Excellent people and time management skills
  • Flexible communication style to tailor to audience as required
  • Desire to coach and develop emerging talent
  • Attention to detail and technical competence ideally across more than one Natural Resources sectors - potential for training and escalation points to be provided as needed
