Who were looking for The Broker Management team is responsible for onboarding all Derivative trading accounts both internally and externally for OTC Bilateral & Cleared, ETD, FX, CFDs. They also set up Term Deposit & TBA trading, as well as any new broker relationships for Schroders.Additionally, they are responsible for coordinating all KYC/DDD queries from brokers about either our funds & clients and/or Schroder entity queries. The teams responsibility is to set up key business data for Trading, Collateral, Legal and Operations inour front to back systems. For this Lead Specialist role, we are seeking an individual with previous Derivative onboarding experience, specifically OTC bilateral and cleared Derivatives. As a result of both Derivative account onboarding and broker onboarding, the role requires a goodKYC/ DDD understanding.The role also entails handling and completing all Schroders new execution broker onboards. Liaising with each new counterparty to request all required documentation and owning the set up process from beginning, to sign off with trading.The team are also required to continually monitor all of Schroders executing brokers and perform regular risk assessments and KYC/ DDD refreshes. The right individual for this role will have to demonstrate the ability to be proactive, organised and work collaboratively with colleagues and external parties. They will need good knowledge of the onboarding process, understand Derivatives, have the abilityto interrogate processes, diagnose issues and be able to rectify these tactically and strategically. The team The Broker Management UK function is a central team within Investment Services, reporting to the Investment COO and covers the EMIR & US regions. The team provides support from 8:00 - 18:00 to Investment, Traders and wider Investment Services teams. The teamsprimary role is to onboard Derivative trading accounts (OTC Bilateral & Cleared, ETD, FX, CFD) both internally on key platforms and externally with our broker community. The team aims to enable business growth, ensure all required trading accounts are openwhen required, manage risk and also seeks for constant evolution and simplification of processes. What youll do Coordinate Derivative account onboarding: Assist with opening OTC accounts internally and with external market vendors Own the end to end process, utilising the Work in Progress (WIP) logs and ensuring deadlines are always met Clearly document all required information throughout any onboard Keep all key parties clearly informed of onboarding status progression from initiation to completion Maintain accurate mandate data in internal databases and external platforms Liaise with brokers on Schroder entity KYC questions & documentation Maintain up to date due diligence docs in Markit KYC, permission appropriate / approved brokers Assist with any process improvement, ensure operating guidelines are met and controls are accurately completed The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need Previous experience with Derivative onboarding Understanding of OTC Derivative instruments Strong KYC / Due Diligence Documentation experience & understanding Aladdin experience preferred, but not essential. S&P RFA and/or S&P Accelerator experience preferred, but not essential.
