Simpson Judge Ltd are supporting an early stage hospitality business with a small finance team. Systems and processes have been implemented by a experienced FD and they now require a bookkeeper/finance manager to take over.This role is primarily remote based but occasional office working in Shoreditch.- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger- Bring the books to the trial balance stage- Perform partial checks of the posting process- Complete tax forms- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely mannerRequired:* Minimum 5 years experience in a finance function * Experience with the use of a modern ERP Accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Xero, SAP, Sage 50)* Strong Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFs)* Highly motivated, confident and enthusiastic individual who will be able to deal effectively with conflicting requirements* Demonstrates the ability to be a good team player and technically sound.* A willingness to learn and develop* Ability to work under pressure, deal with deadlines and work flexibly (e.g. longer hours during busy periods)* Effective communication skills - both written and verbal* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numeracy* Accounting qualification - PART QUALIFIED ACCA, ACA
