Job Description

Who we are looking forAs the Data Management Head for Blockchain Platform, you will be the leader responsible for working with the Business Unit core teams, Data Stewards, Analysts, IT, Enterprise Data Governance & Management to ensure high levels of data quality, integrity, privacy,availability, security and usability and adherence to Corporate policies and procedures Why this role is important to usOur Data Governance function is driving Data Strategy across our business, helping identify the right places to source data, understanding how the data flows through our organization and ensuring we stay focused on data quality. Our clients and regulators demandexcellence in how we govern our data, and our team is the first line of defense in supporting their needs. What you will be responsible for As an Digital Lead in Data Governance you will

  • Drive Data Governance activities across business units, including understanding accountability, policy compliance and data quality issue tracking and resolution
  • Support the day-to-day stewardship to drive data-decision making processes and facilitate discussions to address conflicting viewpoints with the goal of arriving at mutually satisfactory agreements
  • Guide the business unit Data Stewards to solutions for information sourcing, provisioning, consumption, standardization and reporting & analytics.
  • Drive resolution of data information and processing challenges that have an adverse impact on the operational environment and/or business performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate them into the data strategy.
  • Lead projects involving upstream and downstream data flows and processes to ensure compliance with data governance policy.
  • Create reporting around data governance progress for key stakeholders and management and conduct as-needed alignment meetings on strategic data-driven initiatives
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of Data Governance and Management practices through internal Data Governance course completion and Certified Data Steward (CDS) accreditation where appropriate

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • 15+ years of Financial Services Industry is required
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data management concepts, principles and practices
  • BA/BS Computer Science / Business / MIS (or equivalent work experience to substitute for education); Masters a plus
  • Proven understanding of global environment
