As the Bioinformatician you will be responsible for contributing to the teams outstanding researchby using computational biology approaches to generate novel therapeutic targets and build pipelines to analyse the companys cancer genomics data.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Bioinformatician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will be closely working with the other members of the team to use computational biology approaches to generate novel therapeutic targets.2. You will be building pipelines to analyse genetic and functional genomics data within cancer.3. You will collaborate with the computational biology and software engineering teams to create and maintain high-quality and well-documented code. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Bioinformatician - Functional Genomics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. PhD in Bioinformatics-based research, or something closely similar, or a MSc with strong industrial experience.2. Proven experience in working with a diverse range of functional genomics data types, in particular single cell RNA-sequencing data.3. A working knowledge and practical experience with python/R, Unix/Bash, NextFlow, Docker and AWS.4.
