Job Description

Bid writer

  • Support the writing of new content for assigned bids
    • Lead storyboarding and writing sessions with bid and solution team members, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts
    • Deliver completed written proposal responses to the bid team against agreed RFP/ITT deadlines, escalating my clientues as required
  • Write compelling and winning stories / responses in line with persuasive writing techniques
  • Ensure compliance with required proposal deliverables, scoring metrics, and solution / NOSE
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant to bespoke to bid requirements
  • Re-write/edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure one voice
  • Adhere to and champion my client Group style guide in all content
  • Support bid quality response reviews
  • Seek and share persuasive / sales writing best practice with HofBE&K / team and proactively support team training sessions
  • Coach team members and subject matter experts in writing best practice
  • In bid downtime, support the Content and Knowledge Manager writing and creating content for the bid library including case studies, model responses and capturing evidence from accounts
  • Undertake client account site visits to meet the onsite teams / learn what we do / widen knowledge to enrich writing
  • Support preparation of a quarterly bid excellence update, sharing writing tips and best practice
Complexity Bid Writer:The Bid Writer is responsible for the creation of high impact content for use in bids and proposals and is an integral part of the commercial team. As such, the applicant must be able to prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced salesenvironment.The goal: to create winning, compelling responses using writing and commercial best practice supporting the wider bid and commercial teams across both private and public sectors. The role requires a self-motivated, highly task and deadline orientated individualwho can proactively capture relevant content through various means, including interviews, storyboarding and solution workshops to create compelling, winning stories. Must be personable, with a strong written ability and attention to detail with a personaldrive to achieve exacting standards.Connections

Education requiredQualification in business/relevant to industry or equivalent experience, ideally HNC/D or Degree. Additional proofreading, editing or sales writing qualification ideal.Work experience required5+ years experience and proven skills in producing and editing bid content within a complex business environment. Facility management industry experience preferred. The applicant should have a passion and energy to support a wide range of written contentrequirements. Experience in a similar role is therefore crucial.Technical skills and specific knowledge required

  • Strong IT skills are essential, particularly Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook and a broad knowledge of social media platforms
Geographic scope and travel requirements
  • WFH / office split (to be agreed)
  • Must be willing to travel to other my client offices as required (London, Stoke, Birmingham), client sites, conferences, trade events etc. (as required).
