A leading UK law firm with a friendly, open and inclusive culture, are looking for a bright and enthusiastic bidding professional to join their business development team.The firm are looking for someone who has a strong track record in leading and coordinating pitch responses, ideally across the public and not-for-profit sectors, and who understands the importance of qualifying and pursuing the right opportunities that willgenerate profitable work. Building strong, collaborative internal relationships with key partners, fee earners and other business support teams will be key in this role as you will work closely with legal teams, the wider BD team and the in-house Graphic Designerto produce engaging and innovative tender responses across the firm. The Bid Manager will monitor and identify new tender opportunities and subsequently manage the bids the process from end-to-end, providing guidance on how to respond to RFPs, bringing newideas and approaches to the process and providing strategic advice in relation to key messaging, positioning and pricing. You will champion a best practice approach to pitching throughout to ensure strategic opportunities are maximised including briefing calls,preparation meetings and pitch rehearsals. The role holder will need to obtain feedback on all tender opportunities and conduct debriefs, both with the client and the internal bid team, collating and analysing the feedback to continuously improve the tenderprocess. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the firms client satisfaction interviews which provide valuable intelligence for future pitch opportunities.The ideal candidate will be degree educated or equivalent, with extensive bid management experience, preferably gained within a professional services environment, ideally a law firm. Confident and credible, with excellent project management skills, the BidManager will be good at working on simultaneous projects, while working to tight deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
