Using state of the art technology including AI intelligence, the company uses a a global network of satellites and drones in order to provide its insurance partners with vital information in order to underwrite risks and assess the impact of largescale damage. With an enviable client list including some of the largest insurance companies in the world, this organisation is involved with many high-profile incidents that are often reported in the national news.As an integral member of the sales team, you’ll be responsible for developing new business leads and opportunities, in-line within the strategic focus in the general insurance sector. This will include client prospecting across insurers, reinsurers and brokers, and using the existing network links to develop and secure channel partners and distribution platforms. You’ll attend client meetings to support product evolution and development in conjunction with the technical sales team, and provide content to help support and enhance the overall marketing strategy.This is predominantly a home-based role, although you will be required to attend some face-to-face meetings in London with insurers, as well as checking into the head office perhaps a few times a month. There may also be the opportunity for occasional international travel in Europe and the US.You’ll have well-honed sales skills, with a proven track record of developing long-term sustainable relationships with clients and partners. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience of selling into insurers, although we will consider very high calibre BDMs who are currently on the other side of the fence and selling into the corporate intermediary market. As expected at this level, you will be able to converse effectively at board level in a consultative fashion. Whilst not essential, an understanding of technology, with a focus on software solutions for data management, exploitation, analytics and network distribution, would be beneficial.You will receive a great deal of technical support to learn about the products, as well as training on the sales process. In addition, you will benefit from marketing support and a high degree of incoming enquiries to convert.You will be rewarded with an attractive basic salary of up to £80K (negotiable, depending on experience), together with an OTE of £120K and a range of company benefits.
