Job Description

Role Overview:Reporting to the Banking Operations Manager, the successful candidate will process the day-to-day operations of the UK bank. This role will focus on the full range of products and services to be offered by the bank and the daily processes that support the bank’s offerings.As this new UK bank has been launched recently, there is a requirement to multi-task between a number of operations related areas as well as the opportunity to support other teams at busy times.This role provides the opportunity not only to work across different areas of the UK firm but also to work closely with colleagues overseas. We are a tight knit team, with great passion and commitment to provide exceptional standards of service consistently and strive to help our customers "find a way." Candidates must have the appetite, flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with priorities changing by the hour and process and issues changing every day.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process day to day tasks and activities for the bank’s product offering and services.
  • Maintain and develop a thorough technical knowledge of the core banking platform, its processes, controls and procedures
  • Populate the core banking system with new products, payments and customer data
  • Process payments through: UK Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, Cheque Processing and SWIFT
  • Assist with daily reconciliations
  • Assist necessary Know your Customer (KYC) and Anti money-laundering (AML) checks for the customer operations
  • Show initiative for reviewing solutions that help and benefit our customers
  • Maintain effective relationships with all internal and external colleagues, stakeholders and organisations
  • Prepare daily reports for the Operations Manager
  • Experience & QualificationsWork Experience:Essential:
  • A minimum of twelve months’ service working in a financial services’ operational role
  • Excel proficiency
  • Interest in financial technologies and able to learn new technologies fast
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and work within a team in a changing environment
  • Motivated to go above and beyond for customers and colleagues
  • Beneficial:
  • Previous experience in a retail banking operations environment, with specific expertise in respect of loan products, savings products, UK and International Payments
  • Knowledge about payment schemes used in the UK
  • Knowledge of SQL would be the icing on the cake!
  • Communications:
  • Excellent communication abilities, including strong written and verbal skills
