Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager to join our Stem Cell Transplantation Unit, based at our Cancer Services Building in Central London (W1G) with an inclusive salary range on offer of £46,657 - £56,325 per annum.Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest independently owned non-profit hospital, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street. We have circa 1200 employees, a total of 8 premises, and we are dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise.Job DescriptionTo assist the Manager in ensuring the department is efficiently and effectively managed at all times, and to be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services.

  • Job Type: Permanent and Full Time
  • Shifts: 37.5 hours per week (Weekdays & Saturdays)

  • Duties & Responsibilities
  • To be responsible for organising (departmental) and participating in the Duchess of Devonshire Wing’s UKONS Triage acute oncology service bleep holder system.
  • To ensure effective use of manpower and resources in relation to the dependency of patients in keeping with current editions of the FACT-JACIE accreditation standards.
  • To support the manager in the clinic wide training regarding blood transfusion competencies.
  • To continue to develop and consolidate skill in assessing, monitoring, developing and evaluation care for patients with a wide variety of physical, psychological and social needs.
  • Skills & Experience
  • RGN with valid NMC Registration & Chemotherapy Administration
  • Haematology or stem cell transplant module/modules or qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years working in the Haematology/Oncology setting.
  • Be familiar with autologous, matched sibling & matched unrelated donor transplants and CAR-T cell treatment
