My client based in West London is currently recruiting a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with at least one years experience working in Mental Health.The ideal candidate should be able to provide expamples in previous roles of:Demonstrating an understanding of service users needs within acute mentalhealth and how this impacts occupational functioning and health and wellbeing. Providing occupational therapy assessment (MOHOST) for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and enabling the service user in areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. Working closely with service users to identify OT goals as part of the overall CPA process. Writing, planning and risk assessing evidence based group protocols Planning and delivering 1:1 and group interventions in collaboration with the service user (grading and adaptation). Facilitating home visits with service users. Managing a therapeutic budget and maintaining therapeutic resources and stock. Adaptation of the environment and prescribing aids for service users with physical disabilities. Undertaking risk assessment and management plans. Documenting clinical reports and case notes using electronic record systems. Working as part of an MDT (nursing, medical, psychology etc.) and communicating effectively within these modalities. Providing clinical supervision to junior staff and OT students. Working collaboratively with other modalities to facilitate groups such as art therapy, drama therapy and movement therapy.
