Job Description

Backend Java Developer (IT) - Start Up Going Scale Up - London / Hybrid Working - up to £55k + Private Health Insurance & Discretionary Bonus SchemeThe Role:Im currently on the hunt for an outstanding Backend Java Developer to join a company that is passionate about what they create. They are searching for someone to join their SUPER tech team, who perform their magic behind the scenes to ensure that theircustomers have a seamless experience. This team are responsible for checkout flow and discoverability.As a backend java developer for this company, you will be part of a team that is in charge of developing scalable and effective backend services. You will also be a natural problem solver who enjoys a challenge and enjoys working together with others inan exciting environment.The Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring production issue alerts, identifying the cause, and collaborating with the team to find a solution.
  • Discovering areas of improvement in the development pipeline.
  • Working together with other developers and working on implementations and product roadmap solutions.
  • Creating customer-driven features within the team and determining how to split needs into smaller, more incremental deliveries.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to identify, design, build, and launch new features.
  • Introducing best business practices, tactics, and patterns to improve platform performance, scalability, and monitoring.
The Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Java development (including Spring / Springboot frameworks)
  • Familiar working with Kubernetes, AWS, Mongo and Redis.
  • A passion for technology and for working in an Agile environment.
