** Back End Developer - Oxford or Remote - £45k to £65k **Avanti Recruitment have partnered with a digital agency who work with one the most impressive client lists I’ve seen in a long time. They are going through a steady period of growth, and as such are looking for experienced Backend Developers to work on some really exciting Ruby on Rails projects. You will be building, maintaining and scaling large complex applications for their clients that include some huge, instantly recognizable global brands. Their client base is constantly growing, as is the project work, so you can expect to have lots of really exciting work to get stuck in to when you join. The company pride themselves on giving their developers the time, tools and autonomy to complete the work to the highest standard, so you will never be asked to "rush something out the door" because of client demand. If you would prefer to work from their office after lockdown, or do a mixture of home and office work, then you can do so from their lovely office in Oxfordshire.The role offers a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to step up and have some great responsibility where you’ll mentor other team members and move progressively into a Lead Developer role over time.Ideal requirements below, although not everything is essential;4+ years’ experience with Ruby on Rails A deep understanding of databases Relational database knowledgeKey-Value store knowledge is advantageous Document and/or graph database knowledge is advantageous Experience with AWS and Heroku Experience with Sinatra or Grape An understanding of generalised design patterns and Rails specific patterns An eye for maintainable code and architecture On offer is a salary of between £45k - £65k dependant on experience, company pension, company healthcare, flexible working hours, remote working, 25 days holiday + bank holidays and loads of training and development opportunities.For more information please contact Dan Welham at Avanti Recruitment.
