Job Description

Back End Developer - Java - Spring - Cloud - SOA Role: Back End DeveloperContract: 6 months+ - Inside IR35Location: London/Edinburgh - Remote until further noticeResponsibilities include

  • Working with the Strategy and UX/UI Design teams as well as customer organizations to architect, design, and implement solutions.
  • Designing, developing and productising components and services that make up our Customers Product - a fully automated platform and CD stack we use to bootstrap and accelerate Customer Journey Engineering
  • Building reusable code and libraries
  • Develop, test and deliver integrations for customers to provide highly scalable and repeatable integrations
  • A true "roll up the sleeves and get it done" working approach; a problem solver, operating as a result-oriented, self-starter
  • Leveraging your broad technology capability set and develop, and iteratively deploy real enterprise class software
Skills & Experience
  • Very strong object-oriented design skills and understanding of well-engineered design
  • Proficiency in the following skills and technologies is mandatory:
    • Java EE including (Web Services, REST, JPA).
    • Database (SQL server/Oracle/MySQL/MongoDB/Cassandra)
    • Spring, Hibernate
    • SOA, EDA, and Design patterns.
    • Cloud computing architecting
    • Hosting and server technologies Tomcat/JBoss, IIS, Nginx
    • Code versioning tools like Git, Svn, Mercurial
  • Extensive problem-solving skills and hands on experience with data structures and algorithms
  • Continuous delivery with a deep understanding of enabling technologies and practices.
  • Cloud and automation technologies, e.g., Amazon Web Services, Azure, Ansible / Chef / Puppet.
  • MVC, and knowledge of other server-side and Front-End programming language (Reactjs, NodeJs) is a plus
