Job Description

THE ROLEWe are looking for a bright, smart and driven Azure cloud engineer to join our clients engineering team as a permanent employee. You will work with modern web and cloud technologies in a collaborative and agile environment. Youll be part of their core teamand work with them to build a successful business. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to help shape the platform and have your ideas heard as they build from ground up an exciting and innovative cloud-native service offering.ABOUT YOU

  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust solutions and would embrace any opportunity to learn new technologies across the stack
  • An enthusiastic problem solver who loves a good challenge, has a personal interest in contributing to product development, enjoy sharing knowledge in a collaborative manner
  • You are a self-start, focused, results driven, hardworking, can work alone and also work closely with other developers and product teams
  • Ideally (but not essential) you will have previous capital markets trading technology experience working for an investment bank, investment manager or trading venues
  • Computer Science, Computing or similar university degree graduate covering cloud engineering and cyber security
  • Azure cloud certifications an advantage
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGEFamiliar with Microsoft Azure cloud computing services and serverless components including:
  • Application services covering Azure App Services, Azure Function Apps, Web Apps, Containers etc.
  • Real-time streaming applications such as SignalR
  • SQL databases, Cosmos DB, and Redis cache, database structures, performance
  • Message-oriented middleware software (i.e. Azure Service Bus)
  • Cloud/Cyber/Application security and networking using Front Door/WAF, AAD, Firewalls, Key Vaults, Security Centre, Load Balancer, VNet, Subnet, Private DNS, Private Deployment Agents, amongst others
  • Platform monitoring and management using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics etc.
  • Restful APIs using API Management
  • FIX API protocol and Onix FIX engine (not essential)
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) environments and infrastructure automation using
  • Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, PowerShell, YAML and other technologies
  • Agile and lean development methodologies including agile coaching, pair programming and test-driven development
