Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a AWS Python Developer for a 6 Month contract based remotely. Purpose of the Role: The Industrialising Stress Testing programme seeks to transform the way in which my client conducts stress testing, reducingthe time taken to perform the tests as well as reduce the amount of manual activity. The programme is a multi year programme. As a AWS Python Developer you will be responsible for: Strong Python ability, with preference for 4+ yrs experience Familiarity withvarious database types(Relational Database knowledge (SQL), Document stores, column stores) and corresponding design considerations for each. Familiarity with ETL processes and building frameworks around good database/datawarehouse design Experience workingwith cloud based containerisation solutions ideally AWS and Docker Ability to express opinion on sound RESTful API design. Can clearly describe RESTful Microservices architecture and HTTP methods with working experience of python for creating performant andusable APIs. Design Patterns: Understanding of key design patterns e.g. MVC Comfortable on both Windows / Linux environment. Good working knowledge of Pandas, Numpy What we require from the candidate: Strong Python Experience Strong AWS Experience This clientwill only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
