AWS CLOUD ENGINEEROutside IR35 ContractFully RemoteInitially 6 Months£400-480 per dayUnify are super proud to be exclusively representing a rapidly expanding Microsoft business who are currently undertaking significant programmes of work and are looking for experienced AWS Cloud Engineers to help plan, design, configure/build, and documentAWS cloud hosting services.The successful applicant will have solid hands-on experience of project design and implementation, defining solutions based on best practice and driving service adoption cross multi and hybrid-cloud environments.The candidate should be experienced in deploying applications, monitoring operations, and managing enterprise solutions. They will be experienced in the use of AWS Cloud Console and the command-line interface to perform common platform-based tasks to maintainone or more deployed solutions that leverage AWS-managed or self-managed services on AWS Cloud. Skills and qualifications

• Advance AWS Cloud knowledge and experience working and migrating workloads from on-prem to AWS Cloud.
• Experience of managing services using AMS Management Console, AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Deployment of resources using Infrastructure as Code, including experience of AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeStar
• CI/CD pipeline implementations using open-source tooling e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitLab, Concourse
• Configuring compute resources, including AWS Batch, Amazon EC2, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lamda, Amazon Lightsail and Amazon Workspaces.
• Configuring data storage options, including AWS Backup, Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS), Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS), Amazon S3, Amazon S3 Glacier, AWS Snowball Edge, and AWS Storage Gateway.
• Configuring network resources, such as load balancing, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon CloudFront, AWS Direct Connect, Amazon Route 53, and Amazon VPC.
• Configuring containers including: Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS),  Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) and AWS Fargate
• Configuring databases including: Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon RDS and Amazon Redshift
• Management and ongoing monitoring using standard AWS tools such as: AWS Auto Scaling, AWS Budgets, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Config, AWS Cost and Usage Report, Amazon EventBridge (Amazon CloudWatch Events), AWS License Manager,AWS Managed Services, AWS Organizations, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store, and AWS Trusted Advisor.
• Practical experience of implementing technical solutions to ensure data security including: AWS Artifact, AWS Certificate Manager (ACM), AWS CloudHSM, Amazon Cognito, Amazon Detective, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon Inspector,AWS License Manager, Amazon Macie, AWS Shield, and AWS WAF.
• Understanding of Information Security principles including GDPR
• Previous experience in support and management role
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Can do attitude to find innovative solutions to challenging problems

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience of designing data processing systems and data pipeline systems
• Implementation of message brokers, message queues, middleware, service-oriented architecture, serverless functions.
• Migrating workloads from on-premises to AWS cloud
• Experience of analytics tools such as Amazon Athena, Amazon Kinesis, and Amazon QuickSight
• Experience of application integration services such as Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS), and Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS).
• Experience of managing multi-cloud solutions
• Experience of other public clouds such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud.

Qualifications The preferred candidate will have one or more of the following qualifications to demonstrate their knowledge:

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner - CLF-C01 (LA)
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional (DOP-C01)
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
• AWS Certified Database - Specialty (DBS-C01)
