Job Description

City of London based International Investment BankDescriptionAVP - Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management

  1. Proactively manage a portfolio of Leveraged Loans, including ongoing analysis of Borrowers financial performance, preparation of required Monitoring Reports, regular reporting to Line Manager, Group Head, Management, and Credit Department on Borrowersperformance, assigning/reviewing Borrower internal ratings at least annually, and analysis/interpretation of Banks Cash Flow Model.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with Company Management by working closely with the Team Leader and VPs/Directors on the team to ensure the team is updated on developments at the Company, drive new business opportunities from the portfolio, and provideinformation to clients on the banks products and services, including investment products.
  3. Ongoing liaison with Origination & Sponsor Coverage team on Portfolio Mining opportunities to drive new business opportunities arising from the portfolio.
  4. Conduct in-depth financial/credit analysis of transactions and prepare Credit submissions for new transactions, amendments/waivers on existing allocated portfolio accounts, and add-on/refinancing opportunities on existing allocated portfolio accounts.
ProfileFinancial Services
  • Knowledge and understanding of the European Leveraged Finance market, including trends and developments.
  • Strong credit/risk analysis skills gained through exposure to European leveraged finance transactions.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret Audited/Unaudited Historic Financial Statements, Financial Due Diligence, forward-looking financial data (Budgets, Forecasts, Projections, etc.), and other financial information.
  • Cash Flow modeling skills with sound knowledge of Excel.
