Job Description

AV TechnicianRate - £17 an hourDuration - 6 Months InitiallyLocation - London (London Bridge)IR35 - Inside (must use an umbrella company)Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for the available range of audio-visual (AV) and ICT equipment in teaching spaces, lecture rooms and meeting rooms as per the requirement of the daily working schedules.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to understand and support technical requirements
  • Perform necessary maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks associated with all Audio Visual and IT technologies
  • Develop adequate user manuals and document any changes to default system configurations. Ensure such information is shared with staff and provide training as necessary to other London base staff to ensure a resilient service.
  • Evaluate operational requirements to repair and maintain audio-visual equipment and liaise with and support external teams engaged to carry out such work.
  • Assist users with day-to-day system problems, providing training and advice in the use of local systems and simple IT software
  • Provide technical support for both staff and students to provide a technical experience befitting the location and student / delegate profile.
  • Maintain close formal and informal contact with the remote IT team based in Coventry, sharing expertise and information to ensure that developments are co-ordinated, documented and that a coherent development and service environment is maintained.
  • Perform an events management function, managing all technical elements of any special events such as open days or company results announcements.
  • Work closely with the Office Manager, and Programme Team(s), in room reconfigurations and setup, ensuring that teaching and programme events in London are appropriately supported (including setting up teaching spaces, providing support to faculty teachingin London, representing to the student groups).
  • Provide general administrative support, and ensure a consistent quality of service is delivered to students, staff and customers.
  • Assist with ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining an appropriate environment as befits a professional business space
  • Work 5 over 7 days a week including evenings and weekends
