Automotive Semiconductor - Global Research Lead Location: Europe IHS Markit Automotive - Supply Chain and Technology Solutions team is in search of an Associated Director to lead the global Automotive Semiconductor research. The position has both operationaland strategic requirements. The analysts operational remit primarily consists of the creation of action plans and follow through execution to support our current deliverables (automotive semiconductor trackers at global level, technology trend reports) aswell as for rebuilding our semiconductor forecast at car model level in 2022. The position also encompasses product and revenue ownership of the Semiconductor Forecast with definitions of enhancements and planning new products based on industry feedback, thereforerequiring strong strategic acumen. Your role General Job Duties Current research: Oversees overall forecast quality for semiconductor coverage. Manage global team of around 6 regional analysts. Define research tasks of regional analyst team to enhance qualityof the forecasts and help orchestrate our response to customer demands. Coordinate development of dashboards to monitor quality of deliverables. Thought leadership: Coordinate opinion building on key topics not covered yet by our practice and coordinates output(press notes, infographics, white papers, conference talks, podcasts...) Voice of the Customer : maintain continuous customer interaction to ensure Voice of the Customer is collected. Develop plans to ensure this is acted upon either via product enhancementsor specific activities (e.g. customer communication, etc) Product management : Identify gaps and create plans to enhance existing research scope, how this should be displayed to customers. Work with internal automation team to improve efficiency and productquality e.g. with data scraping. Work with data scientist to implement big data analytics and machine learning where relevant. Future Research : Identify future themes that should be part of the research scope based on industry needs as it pertains to automotivesemiconductors. Develop proposals for future products beyond existing ones. Revenue ownership : support revenue generation efforts/target achievement by providing visibility to the product with prospecting clients and serving current clients. Industry connection:Nurture a network of contacts at automotive companies, OEMs, technology companies and suppliers. Present findings/data via webinars and at conferences/tradeshows/client events on a global basis About you Requirements for the role Proven understanding of currentand future trends in automotive electronics and semiconductors Work experience on the topic of automotive semiconductor at a supplier or market research company is a requirement. Managerial experience is required. Engineering background is desirable due totechnical content in deliverables Strong drive towards goal achievement, managing conflicting priorities. Proven organizational skills, particularly in complex projects. Strong interpersonal skills. International experience is helpful. Strong presentationsskills and comfortable in client interactions on a global basis.
