Job Description

Job Responsibilities Produce and update all aeronautical charts referred in AIP related to all ADAC airports such as aerodrome chart, aircraft parking, standard taxi routes, LVP taxi route, standard instrument approach and departure, bird concentrationetc. Evaluate and implement the obstacle management based on CAR Part IX and GCAA requirements for all ADAC airports. Evaluate obstacles related to the OLS in order to determine the penetration. Conduct aerodrome safeguarding by site inspection for monitoringand reporting. Edit or modify existing charts as and when required using appropriate software (AutoCAD, Path Planner, Photoshop, Geo-Trans, etc.) to assist AIS/Briefing teams in performing their duties Monitor any new development and / or existing developmentswhich are amended to stay up to date with the acceptance and concurrence from ANS related authority in order to make necessary modifications to the aeronautical charts Amend the AIP charts and texts which may impact the operational procedure for timely publishingEscalate the amendments impacting variations in day to day operations to the concerned authorities for approval to ensure decisions are taken in a safe and orderly manner Assist the project teams in preparing necessary drawing as required Work closely withthe PANS Ops Specialist to create, modify and evaluate procedures for air navigation services whilst ensuring the quality and accuracy is maintained Analyse and process no objection certificate (NOC) applications to support aerodrome safeguarding activitiesParticipate in the meetings and trainings related to aerodrome safeguarding activities to ensure compliance and to remain up to date with the changes Promote Aviation Safety Management System and Quality Management System across all aspects of AIS for complianceto Civil Aviation regulations Identify and report any safety risks in accordance with the Safety Management System and recommend areas of improvement as required Support the transition process from AIS to AIM in accordance with the provisions of the ICAO roadmapand GCAA guidelines whilst ensuring compliance at all times Coach the assigned members of the AIS team to support business continuity Perform additional responsibilities related to AIS delegated from time to time to meet operational requirements Safety responsibilitiesand accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function EducationalQualification: Higher secondary school in a Science discipline Diploma in Aviation or Engineering preferred Professional Certifications: ICAO recognised AIS course (Basic or Advanced) or equivalent preferred PANS Ops certification preferred AutoCAD certificationrequired GIS certification required AIXM certification preferred Aerodrome Safeguarding Certification required Experience: 5 years experience in a similar role required 3 years Aviation experience preferred Special Technical Skills: English Language proficiencyrequired. Working knowledge of Arabic preferred IT proficiency Experience of working with AIXM 5.1 and the PANS OPS software preferred Knowledge in ICAO Annex 4, Annex 14 for aeronautical charts requirements.
