Job Description

Our client takes time to create great relationships with clients to become not just their trusted advisers, but valued partners.As a medium-tier firm, they partner with clients ranging from entrepreneurs and individuals to multinational corporations.They are currently expanding their External Audit practice and seeking a dedicated External Audit Executive to join their esteemed Digital Asset-Focused Investment Funds audit team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with Cayman, BVI, and Delawaredomiciled funds while collaborating with some leading names in the digital asset industry.Purpose of the role

  • As an External Audit Executive within their funds audit team, you will play a vital role in auditing and assessing key risk sections within the digital asset industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to ensurethe accuracy, compliance, and security of their clients digital asset operations. This role presents an exciting chance to contribute to the rapidly evolving digital assets landscape.
Main Responsibilities
  • Execute external audit engagements for offshore fund clients within the digital assets sector, focusing on key risk areas.
  • Collaborate with the London and Cayman-based audit teams (that operate together as if a single audit firm) to plan and implement tailored audit procedures, ensuring adherence to audit standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervising and mentoring of more junior staff on audit processes and performance appraisals.
  • Analyze digital asset transactions, systems, and internal controls to identify potential risks and recommend enhancements.
  • Work closely with clients in the Digital Assets team to gain insights and expertise in the evolving digital assets field.
  • Communicate clearly to clients with record requests, audit findings, and recommendations, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Stay updated on evolving digital asset regulations, standards, and industry best practices to ensure audit relevance.
  • Assist in the development of audit methodologies, tools, and processes tailored to digital asset investments and operations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • ACA or ACCA, fully qualified with practice experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in external auditing, preferably within financial services.
  • A keen interest in digital assets, ideally with relevant experience is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a dynamic team environment.
  • Proficiency in audit software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
