  • A deep understanding of Cyber Risk, technology and overall Group Strategy.
  • Applicants should have the relevant technical security skills and ability to independently challenge existing processes and controls. These skills would be based on a relevant technical degree and technical experience. Knowledge of core cyber controls andtechnologies is a requirement of the role.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver audits are essential and applicants should be self-starting, able to communicate effectively and succinctly and proactive to deliver the audits in line with expectations, with guidance, support andcoaching provided from senior colleagues.
  • The ability to assess risks, identify and assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls, and document appropriate test plans to deliver on audit objectives. Applicants need to be able to identify control gaps effectively and efficiently,as well as draft and clear findings and audit reports with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability, skills and experience to effectively manage and influence senior stakeholder relationships independently whilst building credibility and trust.
  • The ability to independently undertake business monitoring through regular conversations with senior stakeholders and representing Group Audit at Committees, in order to influence decisions being undertaken.
  • Strong collaboration with the ability to lead audit teams, supporting team members and management to deliver on team and personal goals. Used to giving and receiving feedback, coaching and being coached to deliver their best performance.
  • A drive and willingness for personal development. This can be through training, coaching, feedback and on-the-job experience helping to develop and improve individual and team performance.
It would also be great if you have:
  • Experience in any of the following areas - Risk management, Data Migrations, Data Privacy, Cloud.
  • Experience in leading assurance activities
  • Experience of data analytics would be desirable, the ability to utilise and analyse data to highlight control gaps and areas for improvement would be of benefit.
  • Whilst not a pre-requisite, relevant qualifications would be a plus such as CISSP, CEH or equivalent.
