Job Description

Audit Quality is at the heart of our purpose, and audit culture contributes significantly to audit quality across all aspects of our work and is fundamental to how we operate and deliver our audits.The Audit Quality Support team (AQST) at Mazars supports our unwavering commitment to audit quality and works closely with the audit practice. The team is lead by the UK Head of Audit Quality, reporting into the Head of Audit and ultimately the Audit ExecutiveCommittee and works closely with the UK People & Culture team and the UK Executive.We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our highly regarded team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to bring new insights and ways to increase our engagement with the audit practice in developing, implementing and embedding variousaudit quality initiatives and drive a high performance culture of quality across the audit service line.ResponsibilitiesIn addition to specific audit culture initiatives, the Assistant Manager role involves supporting the team on monitoring the firms ‘Single Quality Plan (SQP), ISQM (UK) 1 as well as key stakeholder management and reporting both internally and externally.Key responsibilities include:· Supporting to embed several high-profile initiatives designed to embed a culture of quality, without compromise.· Facilitating and coordinating quality initiatives across audit, liaising with key stakeholders across the business and preparing summary reporting for leadership;· Involvement with focus groups and committees to obtain insights in respect of quality initiatives and help inform the development of strategies to enhance the culture of knowledge;· Managing content across various audit quality portals, SharePoint sites and other platforms including the intranet pages to ensure content is relevant and current;· Monitor progress of actions across all areas of the SQP, liaising with key stakeholders and helping to report to leadership;· Work collaboratively with other teams including RCA, Methodology, L&D to coordinate responsiveness to audit quality initiatives;· Act as an ambassador for continual improvement, suggesting new ways of working efficiently, other quality-related solutions and insights· Support digital enhancements to automate processesSkills, Experience and Knowledge required

  • Audit background and good understanding of the regulatory landscape;
  • Experience in a professional services role;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint and enthusiasm for working with different technologies (PowerBi experience preferable);
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with an ability to prioritise a busy and sometime conflicting workload to meet deadlines;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential including the ability to deal professionally with confidential data;
  • Professional approach, confident, enthusiastic and a team player with a flexible and ‘can do attitude;
  • Proactively seeks to share ideas and solutions to problems identified whilst supporting process improvements and efficiencies;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop networks with colleagues at all levels
  • Have the ability to work both independently, and also collaboratively as part of a wider team.
