Mercia Group is one of them!Mercia Group is one of the leading providers of training and support services to the UK accountancy profession, working with over 8000 firms nationwide.Main Purpose of RoleWere looking for an individual to help maintain and develop our portfolio of audit and compliance products, including those on our website and those developed via 3rd party software.This is an exciting role which will suit someone looking to develop their technical skills while building relationships with colleagues and clients.The role will involve:- Ensure our current products are maintained to a high technical standard.- Evolving our current product range and developing new solutions- Liaising with software developers, client and colleagues to understand the possibilities, needs and requirements of systems- Working with colleagues to map the- Future direction of these productsThe role may involve occasional UK travel but this will be planned in advance.The role will be home based, unless there is a preference to work at one of the group’s offices when not at clients.There is also the opportunity to get involved in other areas of Mercia’s products and services (such as training and file reviewing). So if you are interested in a varied role, please come and talk to us.Essential Skills and Experience Required- ACA / ACCA qualified.- A high level of familiarity with digital audit and compliance systems and their practical use on firms and engagements of all size.- Current experience of working in or with accountancy practices.- Strong technical skills together with the ability to apply this to a firm’s practical needs.- A love for the detailed technical aspects of auditing, financial reporting and other practice regulations and a desire to help others understand how to implement the rules efficiently and effectively.- A natural curiosity which will mean you develop your technical knowledge ensuring that you are awlays up to date.- Self-motivated and able to work independently.Skills that are desirable:- Technical and practical knowledge of non-audit regulations that impact on firms in practice.
