Job Description

Audit Assistant Manager (Portfolio)Ambition is collaborating with an established Top 100 firm that is looking to hire an Audit Assistant Manager (managing a portfolio) due to continued growth.The firm has experienced significant success in recent years, with numerous client wins, including several from the Top 10. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of sectors, from property to cryptocurrency. To support this growth, the firm is makingsubstantial investments in technology, including AI, over the coming years.With the firms ongoing expansion, there are abundant opportunities for career progression, further enhanced by biannual promotion cycles. The firm also hosts regular social events designed to be inclusive for all team members.Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach a team
  • Review team members work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Oversee and manage the completion of audit assignments, including assessing controls, systems, and planning
  • Manage client relationships and identify opportunities by thinking strategically and understanding clients needs, businesses, and key risks
  • Maintain high technical and professional standards
  • Manage team and individual budgets
  • Collaborate closely with Managers and Partners during audit planning and execution, discussing findings, risks, and actions to address identified risks
Requirements:
  • ACA ICAEW, ACCA qualified, or equivalent
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
  • At least two years of audit experience in the UK
  • Significant exposure to SMEs
  • Some exposure to accounts work
