Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen, we are working with one of the UKs leading event planning, conceptual design and technical production specialists to find a talented and dedicated Lighting Project Manager to help manage their technical department. Thesuccessful candidate will be working with producers on large events as well as managing their own client portfolio. If you have solid experience as a technical project manager with a focus on lighting, then this could be for you.Key Details:

Who Are You
  • First and foremost, youre a team player. Your specialism might be Lighting but if your piece is done then youre willing to roll your sleeves up and help your team.
  • Youre a collaborator and understand that effective communication is at the heart of every successful project
  • You have extensive experience of live events both in an operational and management capacity
  • You have very good technical understanding of lighting equipment used on events, including data, rigging and power distribution
  • You have a good level of understand of both video and audio equipment.
  • You have experience and in fault finding of temporary lighting installations quickly and efficiently
  • You have experience in lighting for live performances and camera
  • You have experience with rigging systems and power generation
  • Youre a solution focused self-starter with ability to manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
Day To Day Youll Be
  • Leading the construction teams to fulfil the tasks of the day
  • Supervising on site construction teams for large projects
  • Coordinating with the Workshop Manager and Scenic Project managers over upcoming projections
  • Advising workshop team on best practices, construction techniques, and finishes
  • Quality checking all projects prior to dispatch to ensure the highest levels of finish
  • Working with the Workshop Manager on Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and work flow
  • Working with the management team on reaching the company sustainability goals, specifically on reducing waste and reducing the use of single-use plastic from our workflow (check out our 2030 Pledge).
  • Identifying areas of our operation where you believe training and additional skills may be required to benefit yourself or the business
  • Living and demonstrating client company values both internally and externally
  • Providing feedback to Line Manager of any areas of improvement, development or growth of the business identified. Take a role within the team in problem-solving and contributing to team & business improvement
