Job Title: Associate or Senior EditorNature Cardiovascular ResearchLocation: London, Berlin or New YorkClosing date: November 1, 2021Do you have strong background in cardiovascular or hematology research, a passion for science and a thirst to learn moreWould you like to help shape and launch a new scientific journal that will serve scientist across all disciplines of cardiovascular and hematology research If the answer to these questions is yes, you could be the person were looking for to join the editorialteam of Nature Cardiovascular Research.Nature Cardiovascular Research is a new journal in the Nature Portfolio that will launch in 2022. The journal will publish exceptional advances in the fields of cardiac, vascular and blood biology, covering fundamental,translational, and clinical and public health research.We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Associate or Senior Editor with a strong background in any area of preclinical or clinical cardiovascular and hematology research. Candidates with a backgroundin cardiovascular clinical and public health research are particularly encouraged to apply.You will work closely with the Chief Editor and be involved in all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript selection, overseeing the peer-review process,commissioning and editing Reviews, Commentary and News & Views and writing for the journal. The ability to offer clear and carefully thought out editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts is crucial, as is liaising with the scientific community through laboratoryvisits and by attending international conferences virtually or in person, when appropriate and as required.Working within an editorial and publishing environment that also includes Nature, Nature Medicine, and Nature Cell Biology, you will play an importantrole in determining the representation of your subject in the new journal, and championing it in your community and beyond.
