This is a great opportunity to join this global publishing house. Commissions new titles and new editions from an agreed hitlist to create a pipeline of future publishing. Transmits manuscripts to achieve frontlist budget. Builds relationships and works closely with authors to ensure under contract projects remain on schedule and are delivered to plan. Proposes and monitors costs and agrees pricing on each title to achieve profitability within agreed thresholds. Develops market knowledge through campus-calling and desk-based research to inform our publishing. Represents the company at conferences and author meetings.Good knowledge of the key functions and processes within book publishing.Knowledge of the academic books market.Ability to communicate and influence effectively.Ability to prioritise and handle workload.IT packages (email, word-processing, spreadsheets).
