Job Description

The Role: Associate Director - Business Transformation Grade ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 12 The Location: Open to North America and EMEA Candidates The Team The Business Transformation (BT) team is part of Strategic Operations within the Ratings Operating Office and is responsible for the leading and driving transformation initiatives across Ratings. The team has a broad scope but a sharp focus on enabling transformative change through leading initiatives, building capabilities and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. The BT team includes experts in Lean Management and Agile with these forming the core principles of Ratings operating model and the mission of the team. BT is a small but high-performing team that is primarily an enabling function. As such, partnerships, relationships, influencing and coaching are key to the teams success. With high-profile accountabilities, the team works directly with executive level sponsors and regularly engages with the Ratings Executive Committee (EC) and other senior stakeholders across the organization. The Impact Reporting to the Head of Business Transformation, this role will be responsible for executing a portfolio of transformational projects as well as building strong execution capabilities using Lean and Agile-based approaches (in non-technology teams and projects). This team collaborates with different, cross-functional teams at all levels of the company to drive continuous improvement and solve complex business problems. This combines senior expertise with practical, hands-on support for projects, operational activities, and strategy deployment. The role will also have a key role to play in the execution of the Operating Office Business plan and management of its portfolio of projects. This will require strong partnership with teams across the Operating Office as well as the Senior Leadership Team. Furthermore, you will help with designing and implementing standard ways of executing and delivering end-to-end projects for the Operating Office, including reporting of progress to senior stakeholders through a defined operating cadence. Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,600 to $188,600. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. Responsibilities Providing technical expertise, hands-on support for specific projects, problem solving exercises, and workshops Support the Business Transformation team with operationalizing a robust and consistent portfolio execution approach across the Operating Office that drives action and transparency of performance against objectives Support the development and deployment of the Ratings Operating Office business plan in partnership with the enablement teams Leading certain value-stream aligned initiatives focused on operational and process improvement, with accountability for business value generation Manage relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization and assist with data collection/reporting requirements to communicate performance with them Execution of priorities supporting the organizations long-term strategy for Lean and Agile including building a strong partnership with the Technology organization and other SPGI teams What were looking for Basic Qualifications: 5+ Years relevant industry work experience Experience working on cross-functional teams and complex initiatives Ability to work independently, think strategically and a proven diagnostic ability Exposure to different parts of the organization in a variety of roles preferable Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline Confidence and ability to deal with a range of senior stakeholders Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Sound knowledge of financial markets and credit ratings Willingness to learn, give and receive feedback Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Sound understanding of S&P Global Ratings business, ideally with experience working across multiple functions Formal qualifications in Lean and/or Agile are welcomed, but not mandatory with appropriate levels of hands-on experience About S&P Global Ratings S&P Global Ratings is the worlds leading provider of independent credit ratings.
