A leading provider of Transportation insurance in the Lloyds market is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join their experienced team of Underwriters based in the City of London.As a lead market in the class, my client is seeking a driven individualwho is looking to work in a "best in class" underwriting team. You will work with experienced transportation underwriters writing a worldwide book of business (predominantly US).If you have experience in either broking or underwriting transportation, trucking or motor risks in the Lloyds market, this opportunity will provide fast track development and progression to becoming an Underwriter in the class.Duties and Accountabilities:- Support the team of Underwriters and write a selection of accounts according to the business plan- Quote on business supplied by brokers and coverholders- Provide analytical support to senior underwriters utilising data on submissions- Enhance and maintain external relationships with brokers, coverholders, TPAs- Ensure all compliance is upkept including Delegated Authority, Claims and Conduct Risk procedures- Identify new opportunities where appropriate to contribute to growing the book- A sound working knowledge of binding authorities and delegated underwriting processes in Lloyds is required to fulfill this roleCandidates will be considered from both an underwriting or broking background.
