Abu Dhabi Polytechnic was established by the Institute of Applied Technology in 2010 to offer a dual educational-professional training system with multiple high-tech disciplines (specializations) to produce technologists and engineers to serve the UAE industrial manpower required for Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. Specifically ADP vision is to create skilled professional technologists and engineers capable of performing at the highest international standards to build a knowledge-based economy in the UAE.Abu Dhabi Polytechnic and the National Centre for Meteorology collaborated to develop the educational infrastructure with an objective to develop skilled manpower in the field of Meteorological services for the United Arab Emirates. The Meteorology program educates high performing national students in order to qualify for the meteorological services. The program endeavors to provide a balance delivery of knowledge and skill through its unique curriculum with a dual system of Education and Training.We provide a rigorous educational and training program, often requiring us to go outside of the country to find the best facilities for highly specialized training. The ADP community comprises ambitious students and academic staff who set a rigorous pace in the achievement of teaching excellence. We are seeking to appoint an Academic Faculty to teach the Bachelor degree program in Meteorology. Applicants must be qualified to PhD degree (preferred) or Master Degree in Meteorology or related (Geographical Science or Atmospheric Science or Physics). On field experience is required and professional certifications in Meteorology and information technology will be an advantage. Professional Doctorates are NOT accepted i.e. Doctorate of Education or Doctorate of Business Administration etc). Evidence to active research records and publications, participating in curriculum development with publications registered in Scopus Database or Scholarly Publications. This is an Open Rank (Hiring Rank will depend on candidates post Master/ PhDs relevant full time teaching experiences, no of publications in reputable journals etc).AD Polytechnic is looking for the candidate who can demonstrate subject knowledge/experience in teaching topics in Meteorology and handling workshops in weather Forecasting and Numerical analyses.
