Job Description

Safiyaa is a British luxury womenswear brand founded by Daniela Karnuts, stocked by leading luxury department stores such as Harrods, Mytheresa, Saks & Net-a-Porter.The creative office is based in central London, whilst the brand has its sampling and productionAtelier in Tottenham, where the developments and most made-to-order manufacturing is carried out to ensure precision and high quality.This is a unique opportunity for an Assistant Product Developer to join as a fast-growing high-end womenswear brand based in London.You would be part of a highly motivated, close-knit team, where you would have responsibility and opportunity to grow. This is a full-time position.Role / Responsibility:

  • Supporting Product development team with daily running tasks
  • Taking notes, filing and communicating the information to the team
  • Allocating work for machinists & pattern cutters
  • Problem solving for garment finishings
  • Keeping trackers up to date
  • QC samples on standard dummy
  • Measuring samples, checking the construction and quality of the garments
  • Working with product developers, designers and pattern cutters, ensuring communication is distributed to all
  • Assisting production of samples in the atelier
  • Supporting production team at high season and on holidays
  • Processing online and private client orders and alterations
  • Assisting on QC of completed garments
  • Updating head office on all order status
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years experience in an atelier or a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of garment construction, fit, quality and production
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively across the team
  • Flexibility to undertake additional projects during busy times
  • Adept planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Passionate about the role and maintaining high standards of quality and fit
