The company now employs over 1,100 people globally and is available to buy in over 76 locations via CharlotteTilbury.comWhat the job does:We are looking for a dynamic individual who has appropriate procurement experience, to meet the needs of the key responsibilities, working within a fast-paced environment, ideally from within the Cosmetic or Personal Care industry.The individual will have a global support remit in materials sourcing and cost reduction across key categories.Key categories include primary/secondary and tertiary packaging materials and support of third-party contract manufacturers cost initiatives.Project managing a number of ad-hoc support projects will be a key activity within the role.Taking a lead role in managing supplier performance meetings, plus monitoring and expediting performance improvements.The department will be expanding and evolving quickly over the coming 12-18 months. The expectation is that the candidate will be keen to develop within the role and enhance their responsibilities within a short period of time, taking on more cost initiativeprojects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend Mapping analysis of all direct spend, providing Procurement Manager (PM) with cost saving opportunities.
  • Managing ESG initiatives with suppliers, including Ecovadis audit and improvement management actions.
  • Contract management database updates and general management, including mapping renewal dates.
  • Updating global price book and implementing process to ensure all updates managed expediently.
  • Ad-hoc invoice reconciliation management versus price book.
  • Manage global price book updates and ensure latest agreed pricing is available and clearly communicated to the supply chain planning teams.
  • Support Procurement Director in mapping and budgetary updates of all standard cost material pricing.
  • Work closely with PM on NPD projects, including sourcing searches and quotation management.
  • Provide full tender support to the PM, including RFI/RFP as directed, including collation of responses and score carding with appropriate analysis provided.
  • Management of direct material related e-auctions. Working closely with Supply Chain Planning team on all gift packing project auctions.
  • Support twice year Sampling programme, along with finding alternate source as a secondary sampling support company.
  • Organising supplier reviews, including annual meeting plans. Responsible for chasing through improvement action management.
  • Work closely with PM to develop generic set of supplier KPIs and monitoring of as part of supplier reviews and on quarterly basis.
  • Administration management of direct material related Source to Contract e-tool.
  • Rebate management tracking and regular liaison with finance team to ensure accurate accruals and ready availability of audit information.
  • Take ownership of cost initiative projects as directed by the PM as part of their personal development plan, and in accordance with Procurement Director expected annual savings targets.
  • Take responsibility for providing PMs and director summary info from the index tracking tool, along with assessing exchange rate impacts and potential associated risk/benefits
  • Work with PMs to ensure Procurement/Legal action log is up to date.
  • Support PM in documentation and approval of SOMI, VMI, consignment stock and lead time reduction agreements.
  • Set Up and deliver ongoing direct material supply base credit monitoring and proactive feedback to Procurement team of any critical profile changes, using D&B tracker system.
Requirements COMPETENCY MUST HAVES:
  • Learning Curve - Capability to quickly take on board and disseminate new data/info quickly and communicate to team effectively.
  • Attention to DetailAble to work at an extremely fast pace, without making unchecked errors across a wide range of projects at the same time.
  • Conflicting Priorities - Ability to commit to and deliver against deadlines agreed, where there will be multiple priorities to consider and manage.
  • Project Management skillsMust be conversant with both sourcing tenders/RFP processes and ideally VAVE project management with suppliers.
  • Commercial acumen - Role holder must be keen to develop their negotiation skills, and to develop strong relationships with their suppliers.
  • AutonomyMust be able to take responsibility for own resource time, prioritising work according to demands of the PM taking ownership of delivery, with minimal direct support.
  • Some knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities and competitor activity, including ideally index tracking.
  • Previous procurement/purchasing experience within Cosmetic or Personal care business.
  • Working with suppliers and supply planning teams on supplier lead time optimisations
  • Must have Primary/Secondary packaging buying support background.
  • Sachet/Mini sampling programme background a distinct advantage
  • Some Low-Cost Country Sourcing background would be a distinct advantage.
  • Must be strong in data analysis, and have excel analytical expertise, including VLOOKUPs, nest if statements, pivot table filters etc. (This will be assessed at 2nd interview stage).
  • Must be comfortable working with ambiguous and/or incomplete information.
  • Use and implementation of source to contract e-sourcing tools a distinct advantage.
