Anthony Cole Associates are proud to be partnering a world renowned media/publishing business based in Central London. Due to increasing workload, they are currently seeking a commercial assistant management accountant to join the team.The Assistant Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the Management Accounts team, Including the Financial Controller and Divisional FD to facilitate timely and accurate reporting to the Group Finance Department and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information provided to the business. Whilst the role will report directly to the Financial Controller, day to day accountability, provision of tasks and training will be in conjunction with the Management Accountants.Additional requirements of the role will be to maintain close working relationships with the wider Finance community within Hachette particularly Stock Control and Accounts Payable teams.Specific Responsibilities will include: -·Actively involved with month end reporting·Accounts Payable admin·Banking and associated journals·Work with the team to compile and collate elements of budgets and forecasts·Monthly balance sheet reconciliations·Responsible for settlement of completed projects and checking amortisation of costs·Assist Finance team to prepare relevant business analysis, for example sales reporting and major customer analysis·Working closely with non-finance colleagues to assist with PO management, project accounting and system queries·Working with the FC to ensure the divisional Finance function meets all Group reporting requirements·Involvement with preparation for divisional auditsTo be considered for this role, the client is looking for someone who has recently graduated and started/looking to start their CIMA/ACCA studies and who is bright, has a good academic record, is enthusiastic. Strong Excel skills are a must, you will be using Pivots, SumIfs and Lookups daily so a good level of competency on these is required and WILL BE TESTED AT INTERVIEW.You will be confident with excellent communication skills, and be looking to work for a business where you can earn genuine career opportunities.
