Job Description

Role: Assistant Management AccountantIndustry: InsuranceSalary: £40,000 + Study SupportLocation: London (Hybrid: 3 days P/W in the office)Cedar are excited to be working with a market leading insurance business in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a studying accountant to join a business that champions personal development and growthwhilst encouraging a healthy work life balance.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts for the business, within agreed timescales.
  • On a monthly basis, establish the cause of budget or forecast variances when comparing to actual results.
  • Income reconciliation and monthly booking from the group policy admin systems output.
  • Manage and maintain key Balance Sheet reconciliationse.g. Cash, Fixed Assets, AP, payroll control accounts, accruals and prepayments etc.
  • When required, support and advise the Finance IBA function.
  • Assist the FUL Financial Controller and other members of the finance team in operating and improving internal controls within the finance function.
  • Lead on delegated responsibilities in the annual external audit process.
  • Provide support during budget and reforecast processes.
  • Support the FUL Financial Controller with regulatory return production for the FCA submission.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects
Requirements:
  • Worked within a fast paced, multi-company environment.
  • Significant previous experience in a comparable role, ideally in insurance
  • Assisting with/or production of management account
