Job Description

Our people care, dare and collaborate to ensure we achieve this People Powered Living.This role: Hybrid WorkingThis is your opportunity to join an exciting and innovative Finance team in the role of Assistant Income manager. The role reports to the Income Manager and will provide a comprehensive credit control service to the business.You will have five direct reportswith whom you will work to ensure that processes and controls are in place to enable all income to be accurately recorded in the finance accounting system and housing management system, as well as ensuring the timely recovery of aged debt. You will also deputisefor the Income Manager in their absence.What youll need to succeed:

  • Previous Managerial Experience
  • Managing and collecting debts from company debtors to meet KPIs’
  • Negotiating payment/repayment plans and setting up terms and conditions for debt recovery
  • Monthly reporting of aged debtors including analysis of action plan for outstanding debts
  • Strong communication, networking, negotiation and influencing skill
  • Process all transactions from our bank accounts web page so that they can be loaded onto our Cash Management System daily
  • Ensure daily cash receipts from the companies bank accounts match the Receivables Bank Statement/cashbook
  • Obtain Housing Benefit Schedules and payment schedules for payments made by the DWP to match the payments made by the local authorities so that they can be recorded onto the Housing Management system
  • You’ll strive for continuous improvement and have an innovative approach to problem solving.
