Owned and managed by a Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal winning horticulturist, their portfolio comprises multiple high-end private properties in areas such as Kensington, Chelsea, Camden, Hampstead Heath and Wimbledon. Service offerings include design and build of projects as well as regular creative care and maintenance.Due to continued growth of the company, a vacancy has arisen for a Junior/Assistant Gardener to work alongside the Maintenance Manager with a view to learning and developing their career in the industry and within the company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their existing skill set and eventually manage the maintenance of high-end gardens on their own where required, as well as alongside other employees.The successful candidate will shadow the Maintenance Manager and carry out regular visits to existing clients; managing their gardens while working to ensure consistently high standards in line with the company ethics. This continually growing company offers real development potential as well as job security for promising individuals.Applicants should have experience of gardening on private estates or with commercial companies with experience in the safe operation of garden machinery; hedge cutters, mowers, blowers, brush cutters and the like, with a passion for horticulture and gardening. Candidates must be flexible, able to multi-task and to manage clients’ expectations with a positive attitude. This will be a customer-facing role requiring good attention to detail, an ability to deliver excellent customer service and to be presentable at all times. Applicants must be physically fit and must hold a full UK driving licence.This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic gardener, perhaps newly qualified or with just a few years’ experience in the industry, to work with very knowledgeable and respected gardeners/horticulturists on some of London’s horticulturally diverse properties. This is a full-time permanent role. Hours of work are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday.
