Job Description

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing our three listed, period Arts & Crafts buildings in Knightsbridge This will include overseeing the maintenance of the buildings and supervising contractors/suppliers while they are on site. You willnot be required to carry out the maintenance yourself but will need to have a solid understanding of Office M&E to identify issues and find the right solution. In addition to maintenance, you will also be responsible for health and safety and security withinthe buildings.This is a key role within your Operations team, and you will be required to support your colleagues with aspects of office management and reception duties as required.ResponsibilitiesOffice M&E and PPMUpkeep of the plant across the 3 buildings roofsEmergency lightingoegionella testing and subsequent required actionsWater safety testingBiocide treatments The asbestos register and annual surveysLifts - overseeing lift insurance inspection reportsPush locksGas safety and annual checksAircon and heating office unitsBuilding UpkeepManaging upkeep for the faade of the building (stone work etc)Managing repairs to the roofManaging contractors during office refreshes, refurbishments, and repairs (this can be anything from upgrading kitchens to replacing electrical wiring)Basic maintenance work such as constructing flat pack furniture or changing lightbulbsHealth and SafetyMaintenance of fire escapes, fire alarms, annual and weekly testingActing as fire warden H&S induction for new staff and new business centre occupiersBooking in annual inspectionsManaging issues that arise from inspectionsEnsuring PRISM is kept up to dateUpdating the H&S manual and distributing to staffAnnual PAT testingSecurityManaging the office CCTVUnlocking and locking of the officeOwning the Klevio relationship and the handing out of access to employees and, when needed, contractorsFire and intruder alarm systemsAuthorising Operations Team invoices under £1000Covering for office manager and receptionist when neededThe CandidatePrevious experience of facilitiesIdeally IOSH certified - but not essentialThe ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and be flexible; willing to take on a variety of tasksDemonstrate a "service" mentality, willing to go above and beyond to service the building and our staffMust be able to manage their time effectively and prioritise multiple tasks and stakeholdersEnergetic (can spend the majority of the day on their feet)Happy to help other people in the team carry out their roles when busy or cover for them when away - capable of wearing many hats!BenefitsAnnual discretionary performance related bonusEmployer pension contribution of 10%, subject to you contributing 4%Private healthcare for you and your familyHealthcare cash plan, whereby you receive cash back for any medical expenses you may incurLife assurance at 4 x salaryPermanent Health InsuranceCycle to Work schemeSeason ticket loan scheme25 days holiday per year, plus an additional 3 days paid holiday due to the office Christmas closureLunch and cake for all staff, prepared by our private chefOnsite gymEmployee Wellbeing portalPersonal development and training opportunitiesFirst class office space and access to our private garden
