We have a number of exciting opportunities which call for enthusiastic economists keen to work on large-scale investigations within a diverse, inclusiveand international organisation dedicated to promoting competition for the benefit of consumers.As an Assistant Economist, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse cases across the full range of projects the CMA undertakes. Such cases have recentlyincluded: Taking action against drug companies accused of over-charging the NHS; Undertaking major studies into the digital advertising industry and electric vehicle charging infrastructure; Taking action to protect consumers from opportunistic and anticompetitivebehaviour from the pandemic; Handling regulatory appeals which affect the prices paid for energy and water by every household and firm in the UK.You will join a strong community of economists, working in a collaborative, collegiate atmosphere. We are an internationalteam; our economists have a range of backgrounds and nationalities.
