Job Description

Key deliverables (Essential duties and responsibilities)Understand the internal customers requirements and Efficient preparation of Request for Quotations

  • Receive offers from Vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers
  • Prepare cost sheets and calculate margins.
  • Prepare offers using our bespoke SAP system.
  • Negotiate with Vendors.
  • Raise Purchase Orders.
  • Prepare Reports
  • Selection and development of vendors to best meet the specifications, quality and logistical requirements.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • Buyer / purchaser with good commercial understanding.
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers and negotiate favourable terms of business.
  • Degree in Engineering / science or a Business Discipline would be an advantage
  • Hands on ability to manage and enter enquiries, quotations and contracts onto computer systems.
  • Numerate and computer literacy essential.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience of working on ERP Systems is highly desirable, with SAP Business One particularly beneficial.
  • Ability to learn and deliver results.
