Job Description

Altum Consulting is proud to be working with a hospice to help them find an Assistant Accountant to support the organisation during a busy time. This role is an initial 2- to 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension. Paying between £20 and £23 per hour.As the Assistant Accountant, your role will involve:

  • Processing invoices and maintaining sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Reconciling the cash book and bank statement.
  • Preparing and posting approved journals.
  • Understanding of Fixed Assets, Intercompany. Transactions, Accruals, and Prepayments.
  • Restricted funds accounting.
  • Undertaking complex reconciliation.
The ideal Assistant Accountant will:
  • Be part-qualified (ACCA, ACA,CIMA,CIPFA) or equivalent.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have experience with and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Have intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Be organised with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
