Job Description

Interesting new opportunity for an Assistant Accountant, either part qualified ACCA, SIMA or AAT to join an expanding finance team reporting directly into the Head of Finance. Based in Soho, Central London working for an award-winning Film and TV studiothat produce stand-out scripted television series, documentaries, feature films and music videos for a growing worldwide market.Experience/knowledge required for this role:

  • Bookkeeping for group companies.
  • Payroll preparation.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Preparing and distributing Profit and Loss statements and other monthly reporting.
  • Assisting with preparation of company budgets.
  • Processing employee expense claims.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Managing the investor funds database.
  • Liaising with investment team to ensure accurate investor reporting.
  • Calculating monthly investor interest liability and posting accrued interest values.
  • Monthly reporting on film investment balances.
  • Supporting Head of Finance with ad hoc reconciliation and reporting tasks.
  • Management and processing of company credit cards.
  • Management of outsourced offshore bookkeeping resource.
The Ideal candidate will have:
  • Part qualified Accountant, either ACCA, SIMA or AAT.
  • Significant relevant experience working in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer skills and proficiency is essential, experience using ZOHO an advantage.
  • Must be able to commute to Soho, central London, hybrid working is not optional for this role.
